Our Strategic Plan 2022/26

Here at Lancashire County Council Education Digital Services we support you to make schools a place for children and young adults to thrive and learn. Our vision is to provide digital services for schools that are effective, secure and trusted.

Education Digital Services Strategy Themes

The Education Digital Services Strategic Plan has four key strategic themes, which will form the focus of the traded service over the next five years:

Support services designed to help school staff deliver outcomes for pupils

Ensure school staff can maximise the benefits of our cloud services and ICT solutions by providing support, skills development and technology to enable successful adoption for school business.

Specialist capability in supporting the security of schools' systems, data and ICT infrastructure

Continue our key commitment to focus on ensuring schools ICT remains protected and secure, and that all our services meet Education sector ICT security levels, including meeting DfE standards and NCSC security guidance.

Primarily cloud-based technology and services for schools

Through a programme of transitionary activity provide schools with a pathway to cloud-based digital services that support our Guiding Principle of "Enhanced School Services".

Additional business processes and services to support Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs)

Add new business processes to support the growing number of schools converting to academy status, to enable Academies and MATs to choose Lancashire County Council's Education Digital Services as their technology and support provider.
