Wireless Networking (Wi-Fi) Audit

BT Lancashire Services (BTLS) have a wealth of expertise in troubleshooting and providing Wireless Networking solutions to Schools.  

An experienced Network Engineer will attend your school to;

  • Discuss and assess current issues
  • Establish future requirements
  • Develop a customer usage map based on the Property Asset Management Information System (PAMIS) floor plans.
  • Check the existing Broadband provision has the appropriate capacity to provide access to online services.
  • Carry out a physical assessment of the schools current networking infrastructure including cabinets, switches and internal network links.
  • Provide a report on findings with a focus on recommendations for improved service including a pathway to infrastructure investment and refresh.
  • Depending upon the size of the school and existing equipment we will aim to return the report within 5 working days.

Local Area Networking (LAN) Audit

BT Lancashire Services (BTLS) have a wealth of experience in managing and providing local and wide area network services to Schools.

An experienced Network Engineer will attend your school to;

  • Discuss and assess current issues and provision
  • Establish future requirements
  • Develop a LAN requirements map based on the Property Asset Management Information System (PAMIS) floor plans.
  • Check the existing Broadband provision has the appropriate capacity to provide access to online services.
  • Carry out a physical assessment of the schools current LAN infrastructure including cabinets, switches, LAN cabling and internal network links.
  • Provide a report on findings with a focus on recommendations for improved service including a pathway to any investment and refresh.
  • Aim to return the report within 5 working days.

Telephony Audit

BT Lancashire Services (BTLS) have a wealth of expertise in managing and providing Telephony solutions to Schools including voice over IP (VOIP)

An experienced Network Engineer will attend your school to;

  • Discuss and assess current issues and provision
  • Establish future requirements.
  • Check the existing Broadband provision has the appropriate capacity to provide access to online services.
  • Carry out a physical assessment of the schools current telephony infrastructure including cabinets, telephone specific cabling, external lines and internal network links.
  • Provide a report on findings with a focus on recommendations for improved service including a pathway to any investment and refresh.
  • Aim to return the report within 5 working days.

Cabling Audit

BT Lancashire Services (BTLS) work with a number of specialist partners to provide structured cabling solutions.

An experienced cabling specialist will attend your school to;

  • Discuss and assess current issues and provision
  • Establish future requirements
  • Develop a cabling requirements map based on the Property Asset Management Information System (PAMIS) floor plans.
  • Carry out a physical assessment of the schools existing cabling.
  • Provide a report on findings with a focus on recommendations for improved service including any re-use or a pathway to investment and refresh.
  • Aim to return the report within 5 working days.

Desktop Audit

An experienced member of our team will attend your school to;

  • Discuss and assess current issues and provision
  • Establish future requirements, operating systems and volumes
  • Carry out a physical assessment of the schools current Desktop environment, capability and age of equipment. 
  • Provide a report on findings with a focus on recommendations for improved service including a pathway to investment and refresh.
  • Aim to return the report within 5 working days.

  • Provide a report on findings with a focus on recommendations for improved service including a pathway to investment and server refresh.
