Site-Interconnect Solutions

About the Service

BT Lancashire Services offers schools a fully managed service for site-interconnects, where two or more school buildings or sites are linked with either radio or fibre optic technology. It provides access to school resources from each connected school building. These resources can include the CLEO connection, servers in school or Voice over IP (VoIP) telephone systems.

To provide schools with a reliable, secure, high speed connection between different buildings and sites, ensuring access to the school network.

What are the benefits?

This service allows schools to have a single broadband connection service shared across the School's Local Area Network  (LAN)  for  the  whole  campus  using  site-interconnects  between  buildings,  therefore  removing  the requirement to have multiple broadband connections.
