SIMS Teacher App

About the Service

SIMS Teacher App makes everyday classroom tasks simple, allowing more time for teachers to focus on their pupils. Teacher App can be accessed using an Apple or Windows tablet. With access to student information, updates on key areas of registration, conduct and assessment, the SIMS Teacher App helps to support safeguarding. It improves teaching and learning by ensuring you have the latest data on your students in real-time.

The SIMS Teacher App has been designed specifically to support teachers in achieving even more by simplifying key classroom activities and reducing time spent on classroom administration. Making sure teachers have the information they need at their fingertips without needing to ask the office.

Is there anything I need to have in place before I can use this service?

Yes, a current SIMS Software and Admin Network Support package (excludes the Finance module only option) and you must use BT Lancashire Services' supported Office 365 service. If your school has its own Office 365 tenancy we can offer installation and support for SIMS Teacher App, but you will need to make a temporary Global Administrator account available to us to complete the installation. You will also need tablet devices, either Apple iPads or tablets using Microsoft Windows 10.

Your school will need to ensure it has reliable Wi-Fi to use this product.

Can I purchase tablet devices with the service?

BT Lancashire Services can offer a range of suitable devices (iPads or other tablet devices) as part of your school's implementation of the SIMS Teacher App service – these are available at additional cost.
